This was one of my favorite pictures of Santa, with shelter friend Hadley who brought her authentic stuffed toy “Toro” because Toro had crossed the rainbow bridge.

You can bring your kids, your dog, cat or other pet to have their photos taken with our incredible Santa. The suggested donation will be $10 and you will be emailed a photo! We do suggest that you book a time for your photo to assist with the flow of traffic and to allow enough time for you to have your photo taken. The trunk or treat in downtown Shelbyville…..and the Paint Your Pet Event at the Pink Poppy Boutique

I will be at @The Ville Nutrition in downtown Shelbyville (https://www.facebook.com/TheVilleNu?mibextid=ZbWKwL)on Saturday from 11:30 am until 2:30 pm with Boo Baskets and goodies whose proceeds will benefit the pets at Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter.I will also be at The Pink Poppy Boutique (West Washington Street) on Sunday for the Paint Your Pet Event from 1 pm to 3 pm. Here are some examples of the Baskets ranging in price from $7 to $25 depending on what you choose. You can order a custom basket if you contact me. I will also have some Max shirts and other pet themed items with me 🐈‍🐾See you there for 2 great events!!

Ps. The Paint Your Pet Event registrations is closed but you are welcome to purchase/order the baskets and/or shop at the Pink Poppy!

Amber Hudson will be teaching you how to paint a picture of your pet! She has volunteered to sketch your pet from a photo ahead of time so that when you come to class you can paint your picture!
The cost is $45 which will need to be paid in advance. A portion of your event fee will benefit the pets at the Shelbyville/Shelby County animal shelter! You are welcome to bring any other donations for the pets at the animal shelter should you wish to, food, blankets, toys, etc. and they will be collected and given to the animal shelter after the event.
You will need to provide a picture of your pet no later than 7days in advance to the class so Amber will have time to sketch it for you.
Class size is limited to 20 people.

This photo is in memory of our beloved Toro, the number one mini bull terrier owned by Brad and Erin from Greensburg who supported our pics with Santa. We love and miss you Toro.

Woofs and Whiskers Pet Costume Contest

October 8th, 2022 1 pm to 3 pm at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter

LOCATION is 705 Hale Road, Shelbyville, Indiana

Woofs CATEGORIES for the dogs are: Scariest, Funniest, Most Creative and Best Disguised and Favorite TV/Movie Star. Prizes for the top 3 in each category!

Whiskers CAT PHOTO CONTEST– Ribbons/prizes to the top 3 people’s choice plus a SPECIAL Tribute award so don’t miss out!! Come and vote!!  Please email your photos to sriech714@gmail.com to enter!! Please register your cat for the contest.

REGISTRATION the entry fee is a suggested donation of $5 plus an additional $2 per category for the dogs and $5 suggested donation for the cats. PLEASE REGISTER YOUR PETS PRIOR TO THE EVENT, you can pay online by charge or pay cash at the event.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

1 PM – Registration opens, please stop by the desk even if you pre-registered to Sign the Waiver and get your numbers.SILENT AUCTION starts as well as other items for Sale.

1:30 PM – The Contest Begins! Please be registered prior to this so we can get the judging done as quickly as possible for all participants.

2:30 PM – Announce winners and give prizes. Close out Silent Auction items.

3 PM – event ends, thank you for participating and helping the pets!

You can choose tie dye or regular shirts for $25 with proceeds going to the animal shelter pets! I will post a couple of photos, please message us for more details on colors and sizes! Thank you to Sandy Simpson, friend, volunteer and creator of 4thepets.org for your hard work and fundraising efforts in your recent Christmas ornament event. Sandy presented a check for $335 to the Animal Shelter. Her kindness will help us cover the costs of vet care, surgery and medicine for some of our shelter babies that need extra attention. We appreciate her steadfast love and loyalty to her local shelter. Thank you Sandy, we love you!
