We do have info on our website for help to find your missing pet but we have not updated the events for quite some time! You can find us on Facebook under 4thepets.org and you will find more recent info and things that are going on there. Thank you for visiting our page!

Welcome! We are doing something a little different this year with our favorite Santa! We are welcoming pets, kids of all ages and families!
We have been at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter for the last several years but this year we are taking you to a special place for a special dog 

 who needs hip surgery.
Meet Bear Riley, who was running the golf course and surrounding neighborhoods for 3 months! We have shared his story about his rescue in the event and we will be posting some photos and videos too. We are accepting donations on his behalf this year and they will be given to the vet who will be doing his surgery in December.
We hope you can join us at 2405 Trotters Chase which is a lovely clubhouse in one of the neighborhoods where he was seen running.
Options for photos….
Suggested Donations are
$10 for pictures with Santa.
$25 for a mini session (additional pictures with or without Santa, with the tree and fireplace setting.

The Shelbyville Parks Department is hosting…..

Join us for the first Paws in the Park this Wednesday! Meet at the Dog Park at Blue River Memorial Park with your furry friend, costumes encouraged. Pups can Trick or Treat along the short walk to the Shelter House.

4thepets will be there handing out treats and taking photos for the upcoming Woofs and Whiskers Online Pet Costume Contest. We hope to see you there, it starts at 7 pm Wed the 23rd!

This year we are going to do an ONLINE Pet Costume Contest where YOU, the online Facebook Community can vote for your favorites!!! All voting will be done by likes and comments on the 4thepets.org page and the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter page. All proceeds will be donated for the pets at the animal shelter for their vet care fund for pets that are sick or injured when found or while they are residents of the shelter.
You don’t have to be local to Shelbyville to participate! Please text/call with any questions at 317-445-1841 and to submit your photos! We can’t wait to see your pets of all walks of life in this event!

The animal shelter will be OPEN for adoptions on October 5th too from 11 am to 1 pm for pet adoptions with fees waived!!

 May 4th starting at 1:30 pm

We’re doing a FUN Canvas event for the pets with Vickie Roberts!
Cost is $35 with $25 of the proceeds benefiting the pets at @Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter.
Location will either be McNamara Shelter ( at the animal shelter depending on weather) or Vickie’s home on Shelby Street in Shelbyville close to the high school.

Painting ideas to be released shortly. We are working on a couple of designs! You are- -always welcome to paint your own design too!  The design will be sunflowers and/or daisies with pets of course if you choose!

SANTA IS COMING TO THE SHELBYVILLE SHELBY COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER!!

This was one of my favorite pictures of Santa, with shelter friend Hadley who brought her authentic stuffed toy “Toro” because Toro had crossed the rainbow bridge.

You can bring your kids, your dog, cat or other pet to have their photos taken with our incredible Santa. The suggested donation will be $10 and you will be emailed a photo! We do suggest that you book a time for your photo to assist with the flow of traffic and to allow enough time for you to have your photo taken. Due to the popularity of this exciting fundraiser, please have your pet and/or children dressed and ready to go as we will be having a steady flow of people ready at their scheduled time. Thank you and we hope to see you all on Saturday, December 2nd!!

The trunk or treat in downtown Shelbyville…..and the Paint Your Pet Event at the Pink Poppy Boutique

I will be at @The Ville Nutrition in downtown Shelbyville (https://www.facebook.com/TheVilleNu?mibextid=ZbWKwL)on Saturday from 11:30 am until 2:30 pm with Boo Baskets and goodies whose proceeds will benefit the pets at Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter.I will also be at The Pink Poppy Boutique (West Washington Street) on Sunday for the Paint Your Pet Event from 1 pm to 3 pm. Here are some examples of the Baskets ranging in price from $7 to $25 depending on what you choose. You can order a custom basket if you contact me. I will also have some Max shirts and other pet themed items with me 🐈‍🐾See you there for 2 great events!!

Ps. The Paint Your Pet Event registrations is closed but you are welcome to purchase/order the baskets and/or shop at the Pink Poppy!
