Thank you to Sandy Simpson, friend, volunteer and creator of 4thepets.org for your hard work and fundraising efforts in your recent Christmas ornament event. Sandy presented a check for $335 to the Animal Shelter. Her kindness will help us cover the costs of vet care, surgery and medicine for some of our shelter babies that need extra attention. We appreciate her steadfast love and loyalty to her local shelter. Thank you Sandy, we love you!
HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER FOR THE PETS at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter. Since these ornaments were so popular last year we decided to do these Memorable ornaments for pets and people again! You can choose from a “memory” ornament or a “treat” ornament. All ornaments will be $10 with all profits going to the pets! We can mail the ornaments too, shipping would be $5.75 for one ornament. Here are some examples of the ornaments we can do for you! Each ornament will be custom made for you. Colors available for lettering: black, white, red, blue, silver, gold with the same colors for ribbons. Each bauble will be custom for your family member or pet. Come and visit Santa at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter. You can bring your pets and/or kids to visit! We recommend having an appointment this year to help keep everyone safe! Please contact us to schedule a time if possible. You are also welcome to text/call Sandy at 317-445-1841. The event is from 10:30 to 1:30 pm, please arrive no later than 1:30 to have your photos taken. There is a suggested donation of $10 and all funds will go directly to the pets at the shelter.
Join us for a wine and canvas class to benefit the pets at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter.
Please preregister if possible so we can make sure to have supplies for everyone! Preregister price is $25 with $20 going to the pets. At the door if space permits it will be $30.
We will have snacks and wine sampling plus non alcoholic beverages available.
There will be a Scout and Cellar Wine Consultant available for wine purchases and sampling.
There will be door prizes!!

We are excited to host a special YOGA session at the beautiful animal shelter grounds with a wonderful yoga instructor Angie Boring! There is a lovely covered shelter outside along with a beautiful water feature to listen to while we do some yin yoga. The event will be from 1 PM to 3 PM at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter.
After yoga there will be some light refreshments and a special sneak peek at a brand new athleisurewear line that is launching in September! You can touch, try and feel some of the items at your leisure!
Join us for some yoga, fashion, food, community and fun! All of this to benefit the pets at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter!
Donations are appreciated for the event but not a requirement to come and share in the fun! Some yoga mats will be available but please bring your own if you can, or a towel or blanket as well. Water and refreshments will be available. We look forward to seeing you there!

DIY Cookie Kits, Holiday Pet Style! These cookie kits will be made by Baked by Beth here in Shelbyville, Indiana. You will receive a Baker’s Dozen of the cookies with one special “bone” cookie for you and your family to decorate. Icing and sprinkles will be provided! The cost for the kit is $15 for 13 cookies, icing and sprinkles to decorate with and with profits going to the pets at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter Pets~!! Kits will be available for pick up the weekend of December 18th, please pre-order your kits now and support the -pets! Please contact us by phone or text at 317-445-1841

The Pet Photo Contest is open! You can still participate by entering your photo! You can also vote for all of your favorite photos once every 12 hours per IP address.
We have some online auction items being auctioned off on our Facebook 4thepets.org page! So far we have had some fun items, a Halloween wreath, an adorable photo frame, a gift basket with goodies and much more to come! Please join us on Facebook to participate!
This Saturday October 24th, we will be selling Paw Print Ornaments, they are personalized for you and your pet. It’s a $5 donation with all donations going to the pets at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter. You can bring your pet, we will help you get the paw print and you can either leave it for baking or you can take it and bake it yourself. We will provide instructions for baking, decorating etc. Or you can come and pick one up to take and do it yourself at home with your pet. We will be at Pet Valu Pet Store in Shelbyville from 12:30 to 2 for the ornaments! You can reserve one for you and your pet or just stop by as we will have some extras on hand as well!
You can vote once every 12 hours for the photo of your choice, it’s tracked by your IP address for voting purposes. Your family, friends, co-workers and such can vote too. So please share your photos on social media and email, etc so you can get votes for your favorite photos! Photo submissions are still being accepted as well as we have some online auctions happening on our Facebook page 4thepets.org so join us and help support the pets at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter.
