We are having an online Pet Photo Contest!! Since 2020 has changed things up a bit, so have we! This year we want YOU to submit your favorite pet photo! Your photo can be of any of your pets, all of your pets or whatever you choose whether your pet is in costume or not, we want to see it!! We have a suggested donation to enter the contest with all proceeds going to the pets at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter!! Your pet can be in costume if you choose! Voting will be done by the public and the TOP 6 PHOTOS will be awarded prizes along with ONE SPECIAL SHELTER’S CHOICE AWARD! (Yes, that’s right we will have the shelter staff choose one of the photos that’s not in the top 6 as the Shelter’s Choice Award! Winners will be announced at the end of the contest with prizes that have been donated by 4thepets.org as well as our local Pet Valu Store here in Shelbyville, Indiana. You don’t have to be from Shelbyville to participate so anyone can participate!!
We will be accepting photos beginning 10/13/2020 and the contest will start 10/21/2020 and end on 10/28/2020.
You can vote once every 12 hours per IP address, you may need to input an email address and verify your vote by email. It will not allow you to vote more than once per IP address every 12 hours. The email will come from WordPress, please verify your vote and Happy Voting! (check your spam folder for email)

Your donation will go directly to the pets at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter. Your donation will be put it towards the emergency pet fund. This fund is for any pets that need medical care, whether it be heart worm treatment or a serious injury like our beloved Justice experienced. You can donate by Credit card by using our Eventbrite link, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Check or Cash if you are local. To make your donation we will post the links on the front page of 4thepets.org as well as our Facebook event page.
The size of your photo must be 2 MB or smaller, photos must be sized down so that we can accept many photos for the contest due to server size. Please google how to size your photo down for submission or use this link to downsize your photo https://www.reduceimages.com/ We actually suggest making your photo 1MB or less as it's easier to upload.

By submitting my photo for the pet photo contest, I agree to have my photo published online and possibly used for promotion for another event with 4thepets.org. I also agree to allowing my photo to be published in a local paper with my pet's name and my name as a winner of the event.
Prizes will be ribbons, toys and treats for your pet plus a special something from Pet Valu Pet Store! All of our prizes have been donated by 4thepets.org and Pet Valu in Shelbyville, Indiana.
